BackTrack is an offline GPS navigation app. It works entirely without internet access. No data is ever sent to any server. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising.
BackTrack stores the following data locally on your device only:
This data never leaves your device. It is not backed up to any cloud service by the app itself. You can delete any waypoint or track at any time from within the app.
BackTrack uses your device's GPS to determine your current position. Location data is used in real time to display your coordinates, heading, and distance to saved waypoints.
Location data is only stored when you explicitly save a waypoint or save a recorded track. While the app is running, the current GPS position is held in memory for navigation but is never written to storage automatically. Track recording is opt-in: it begins only when you tap "Start track" and stops when you tap "Stop track". You can choose to discard the recorded track instead of saving it.
BackTrack does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or crash reporting tools. There are no external connections of any kind.
BackTrack does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. The app has no accounts, no registration, and no data transmission.
