This Privacy Policy explains how the BeatForge mobile application (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information. BeatForge is a beat‑making app that runs on your device. We designed it to work without accounts and without collecting personal data. Please read this policy carefully.

• We do not collect, sell, or share personal information.
• Your beats, recordings, samples and settings are stored only on your device.
• The microphone is used only on your device for the App’s audio features — audio is not uploaded to us.
• Optional purchases are handled by Google Play Billing; we never see your payment details.

Information we collect

BeatForge does not require you to create an account and does not ask for your name, email, contacts, or location. We do not operate servers that receive your personal data. In normal use, the App does not transmit personal information off your device.

Microphone

BeatForge requests the microphone permission so you can use voice/beatbox input and record audio into your beats. Microphone audio is processed locally on your device in real time. Any recordings you make are saved to your device’s app storage and are under your control. We do not send, upload, or store your microphone audio on our systems.

Data stored on your device

To make the App work, the following is saved locally in the App’s private storage:

• Your projects, beats, scenes and arrangements;
• Custom sound samples you add (e.g. WAV/MP3/M4A you import);
• App settings and preferences.

This data stays on your device. Uninstalling the App, or clearing its data in Android Settings, permanently removes it.

Purchases (Pro features)

BeatForge may offer optional paid (“Pro”) features. Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles the transaction and your payment method; we do not receive or store your card or payment details. Your purchase status may be checked with Google Play to unlock the features you bought.

Third‑party services

BeatForge is distributed through Google Play and may use standard Google Play services (for example, in‑app purchases and app updates). These services are provided by Google and are governed by Google’s own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Google Play may collect certain information (such as for delivering updates, crash reporting, or billing) under its own terms.

Data sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or any other purpose. Files you choose to export or share (for example, exporting a beat to an .m4a file and sending it) are shared only when and where you decide, using your device’s own sharing tools.

Children’s privacy

BeatForge is a general‑audience creativity app and is not directed at children under the age required by your local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will address it.

Security

Because your content is kept on your device, its security depends largely on your device’s own protections (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device and Android version up to date.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
